Gender Neutral Nursery Plans for Baby Boy!

We’re making some good progress on our gender neutral nursery, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! Home decor is something I want to focus a lot more on this year since you all seem to love it! This space used to be Kevin’s office (we have a 3 bedroom) so he’s officially evicted! Truth be told, it was a bit of a disaster zone (will share more on stories) so the fact that we’re in the home stretch makes me giddy! Harlow’s floral nursery design is still one of my favorites to date, and I wanted the same for baby boy. Also an excuse to go a little design crazy!

My one focus for the room: calming. I knew I wanted to do something gender-neutral since we won’t be in this house much longer. Since Kevin and I share a passion for upstate Michigan, I thought a nature/wood theme would be fitting. I also love that these pieces can be used at any point in their life, or anywhere in my home. The rocking chair is one of my favorites!

This room was a bit more challenging than Harlow’s because the ceilings are HUGE! I was afraid that furniture would get ‘lost’ in the height, and the room wouldn’t look complete. We decided to add a barn-door to the space to help break it up. It’s stunning, and will hopefully get installed this week! I’ll be documenting the painting process and barn door in a separate blog post, in addition to IG story (highlights) so look out for that! Things are moving along!

I’m also excited to share that I’ve partnered with my favorites at buybuy BABY on the nursery furniture. I’ve been a longtime partner with them, so this collaboration is extra special. I love supporting brands that are truly part of my daily lifestyle – would be lost without this retailer!

Stay tuned for a full gender neutral nursery reveal soon, but in the meantime: here are the plans!
