I’m so excited to share our first home project with you! A custom closet with Inspired Closets Chicago! It’s been months in the making, and I’m obsessed with how everything came together. 

This isn’t our first rodeo with Inspired Closets Chicago, they created my dream space in our previous home. We learned very quickly that we couldn’t live without them! Immediately called them up and the rest is history! We also renovated our mud room (that will come in a separate post, so stay tuned!)

CUSTOM CLOSET: THE PROCESS

Step One: FREE in-home design consult. A designer will visit your home to discuss your space! This is where you’ll share your dreams/vision! They will also take measurements (and they’re super speedy!)

Step Two: Design. This is my favorite part of the project! Once you share your visions, their team will create a solution tailored to your ideas/budget. You will see a 360-degree view of your design. Including some photos below so you can see! You’re also able to tweak as much as you’d like! Although, they’re very good at what they do!

Step Three: Prepare. This is where you’ll start preparing your space! The Inspired Closets Chicago team will help simplify this for you. A stress-free plan to get your area prepped for install.

Step Four: INSTALL! Sit back, relax and enjoy your new space! My closet was completed in ONE DAY! They’re very efficient, hard-working and knowledgeable. They are 5-star rated and the owner is hands-on, professional and caring.

Here’s where it gets really fun! Who doesn’t love a good before/after. My goal for this closet was to create an elevated, modern, minimalistic space. I added organic wallpaper to the ceiling for earthy tones. The wallpaper definitely took the closet to the next-level! I love adding my own design touches and making each space my own.

FAVORITE DESIGN FEATURES

• Glass Doors: The glass doors are my absolute favorite! You can showcase your favorite items, decor pieces and more. They definitely elevate your space and give it that customized, upscale feel!
• Dimmable Lighting: Within the glass doors (and underneath cabinetry) include dimmable lighting! They include a remote to easily change settings) Highly reccomend adding this to your design!
• Crown Moulding: The crown moulding feels incredibly elevated and customized. It’s one of my favorite design features of my entire space! Although, we left other areas open to maximize storage — we will put luggage, seasonal clothing, etc.
• Shoe Rack: In our original design, we didn’t include a shoe rack. I’m glad we changed this because it gives my shoes their time to shine! Also looks organized so everything has a home.
• Double Dresser Vanity: In our original design, I had only included a single dresser and I’m so glad we made this change! The oak/white/black combination is my dream! So elevated and timeless. The wooden trim on the mirror is another design surprise from install day! I just love how it looks!
