Now that Harlow’s 10 months old (time slow down!) I’m becoming quite the expert on all things baby essentials! If I could go back, and re-register, I’d obviously do things a tad differently. For starters, we are so wrapped up on the newborn stage (which is obviously important) but, tend to forget about the later months (9-12). Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite non-traditional baby registry items to include on your list! I’m also excited to share that I’m partnering up with our favorites at Philips Avent on their #mamalogues campaign. The #mamalogues campaign (as described in my video below) is all about that special connection with your baby. Using your mama intuition to create those memorable moments that you’ll cherish forever. Would love to hear yours below!
My current #mamalogue with Harlow (10 months) is our bottle/feeding time. She is crawling, standing — on the go 24/7. Bottles are those magical minutes where everything stops. We’re looking at each other, and admiring one another — time stands still, and it’s quiet for just a few minutes. I cherish this time with her more than ever right now. As soon as she’s done eating, she pops up and starts chatting away. Then, it’s on the move again! Harlow’s happiest after bottles, that’s for sure.
PHILIPS AVENT BOTTLES
TOP BABY REGISTRY MUST HAVE
We’ve always admired Philips Avent bottles for the easy cleaning, and design. Simple for tiny hands to grip, especially now that Harlow’s able to hold her own bottle. I love that these are non-fuss, easy assembly and great for on-the-go or at home. These will last a long time throughout the newborn stage and up! These are the Philips Avent Natural bottles!
4 NON TRADITIONAL BABY REGISTRY ITEMS
These cards are both under $10, and such a fun way to learn new words! They have quite a few options, but opted for the ‘first words’ and ‘animal’ edition. We practice everyday, and the box doubles as a toy (of course, right?) They also include some info on the back for moms with engaging questions/games/languages. Definitely a must for any new mama and beyond!
We received these as a gift, and I’m obsessed. Perfect for babies 3+ month — they’re non-rip, chew-proof, rip-proof and drool-roof. Printed on nontoxic, paper like material and can even go in the washing machine or dishwasher! How cool is that? Definitely grab a few of these!
Swaddles are all the rage for registry items, but what about sleep sacks? Personally, I like sleeping with a cover (duh) and appreciate that Harlow is cozied up safely in these sleep sacks. We have several different versions for weather (fleece, cotton, etc) and I always rest better knowing that she’s warm!
Harlow loves these pacifiers with the cute designs, and tiny handles. She prefers chewing on them (opposed to actually putting them in her mouth) but it keeps her entertained forever! They also make nighttime glow-in-the-dark handles that make it easy to find at night (which is essential). Dishwasher safe, and includes a snap on hygienic cap to keep nipple free of germs. We’re definitely a fan!
