This is the first time I’m opening up my home with you, and I’m so excited! This is definitely my favorite part of the house (aka: girl cave) for many reasons. I find it extremely important to surround yourself with inspiration while you work. For me, it’s girly-prints, chic decor and badass office supplies (I have a soft-spot for school office supplies). Next to my office, you will find my bar-cart (strategic placement, maybe). My thoughtful boyfriend surprised me with it (okay, maybe I hinted a few times) but, it’s turned out to be my favorite object in the house! It’s my little happy corner. Confession: Nobody is allowed to touch/take anything which confuses (annoys) my boyfriend, and guests. What’s the point of having a bar-cart if it’s empty? (Which would always be the case!)

If you don’t drink, that doesn’t mean you can’t join in on the bar-cart soiree! I found the cutest retro bottles at my nearest World Market, and they brighten my world up. (orange soda, and tropical mango lemonade are my current additions). I also found my bar sign at HomeGoods, but this light-up sign from Nordstrom is to die! Isn’t it dreamy over the bar-cart — It just adds such a cool factor to the room! One of my favorite purchases ever! I’m still on the hunt for a white-shag carpet to put underneath the cart (I just hate our hardwood floors) I think it’ll make the gold/pink pop! What do you think?
Ready for my $5 hack? It’s awesome! (Oh, I’m also the worst DIY-er ever, so I’m proud of myself for thinking of this all by myself!) This particular cart is darker (I have always loved gold) so, I ventured off to my happy place, Paper Source, and picked up a sheet of $5 wrapping paper. They have so many options, and I literally could stay in there for hours! I simply cut the sheet in half, and covered the bottoms of the shelves! That’s it! One simple fix, and it’s completely changed the entire vibe! Don’t forget to add a cute tassel-strand to your cart — Everyday is a party, right? XX
