Drum roll, please — We’re makin’ our own donuts, ya’ll! And they’re calorie-free (not that we care anyway) For those of you who know me, I’m the least artistic gal on the planet! I mean, I can put together an outfit no problem — but when a paintbrush meets my hand, it’s a very scary thing. Which is reallllly weird, considering I come from a family of artists. In fact, my sister just launched her very own art-shop (we’re talking custom portraits, and they’re beyond charming). Meanwhile, my mom is kicking serious ass with Flower Girls Couture — handmade couture dresses for that little princess! I can’t even sew a straight line, swear. Anywhoo — I love an easy DIY that’s suitable for all ages (I’m equivalent to a 5 year old in the art department). I had so much fun doing this project, and it’s times like this that I love having a blog. I don’t think I would have tried this otherwise 😉
-Small pumpkins (they come in a bag at your supermarket)
-Acrylic paint (I used Crayola washable paint for obvious reasons, but acrylic is the better option)
-Sprinkles (You can also paint on the sprinkles, but I enjoyed the snack in between strokes)
1) Paint your pumpkin, and pile those sprinkles on!
2) Resist the urge to eat the pumpkin, and go get a real one for a reward!
PS: Don’t mind my non-mani (sometimes, we can’t do it all!) XO
What are you crafting this season? I would love to hear in the comments below!
How adorable!!
This is seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! My love for donuts is out of this world 😉
