I’ve never felt more excited to welcome a season in my life. The winter months are long with a toddler, especially when flu season is amongst us. Was it just us, or did you guys get hit hard? I’m finally coming back to life after a horrendous stomach flu/cold. It takes us mama’s longer to recover since we’re giving all of our energy to those littles. The sun is shining, and the forecast predicts 65 this week! (Although, Saturday’s 35 threw a wrench in my glory). At any rate, I thought I’d start off with a few things I’m looking forward to this spring. Yay sunshine, flowers and outdoors!
5 THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SPRING
NORDSTROM SPRING BEAUTY EVENT
You guys know I’m a serious sucker for Nordstrom. Who isn’t? Every New York Fashion Week, Nordstrom goes backstage to scout the biggest beauty trends to relay back to us. Some trends from this year include bold, glossy color (totally my signature!) Amped up shine, think disco & vibrant. Sunny, citrus shades and ultra saturated accents that give us LIFE! Nordstrom is actually showing us their tips/tricks to achieve the freshest runway-inspired looks of the season. Free samples, exclusive gifts with purchases (while supplies last) and one-on-one time with beauty experts. Such a fun activity with your besties, too.
Simply RSVP online here, or stop by your favorite cosmetic counter in-store and mention this post.
Hair clips are having a moment, people! I’m here for it. I recently found these pearl hair clips on Amazon for under $10 (free 2-day shipping). So many of you guys have snagged them. I can’t wait to style them for spring, and add some glam to my OOTD. Maybe butterfly clips will be all the rage next? Oh, my inner 90’s girl would be so excited. If you’re looking for some unique hair clips: I like these, these & these a lot!
MACY’S FLOWER SHOW 2019
The Macy’s Flower Show is always a favorite. From 3/24-4/7 you’ll be transported to a journey in Paradise — out of this world fun. Glorious blossoms, lush plant life and over-the-top presentations make this event one of the best for obvious reasons. Make sure to visit this link for all of the fun (so much going on) and a fun family affair to boot. Did I mention this event is totally FREE!

You guys, I’m falling getting my work-out on. I’ve been toying with the idea of Orange Theory (so many of you love it) for awhile now. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and trying it out for myself! I’m hoping to start mid April and share my experiences as a beginner. I was hesitant for so long because I am a serious beginner in the fitness category. Orange Theory is welcoming to all levels, and it’s a ‘go at your own pace’ workout. I honestly have no idea what to expect, but I’m really looking forward to trying it out and reporting back! Look for a full review on it soon!
PICNIC WITH HARLOW
Lastly, I’m just looking forward to being outdoors with my little lady. Now that Harlow is 18 months, she’s a busy body. Can’t wait to have a picnic with her, breathe in the fresh air and explore nature. Love watching the world through her eyes, and I have a feeling this spring will be one of the best ever! Such a magical age.
