Happy Monday! I had one of my favorite weekends to date with the family. We enjoyed a simple picnic in the backyard, dinner/ice cream downtown Geneva, and plenty of walks around the neighborhood. The flowers and trees are blooming — my hydrangeas just got their leaves, so it’s only a matter of time before they’re taking over. As soon as Harlow goes down for her first nap (which is early because she gets up around 5:30/6) I take my cup of coffee outside, and enjoy a few minutes of peace. The amount of joy this simple activity brings me — It really is the little things in life. Since moving to the burbs via downtown Chicago, I do feel as though my quality of life has increased. I traded the sirens for birds singing — can’t blame me, right?

Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite seasonal trends: eyelet tops. I’m still navigating this postpartum world, and eyelet tops are so flattering on every figure. It’s a total classic (popular in the 19th century) and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. The romantic details make the design the anthem of summer paired with a classic wicker bag. I am obsessed with this eyelet trim long sleeve top that’s under $45. The ruffle detail is the perfect statement for the beach, and into the night. I opted for a corduroy mini-skirt and block heels to celebrate spring. Who doesn’t love the feminine classic tale of an all white top? Easy to accessorize, and breathable for cool nights on the town. Make sure you check this post for some great wicker bag options under $100! I’m also sharing my favorite spring/summer shoes at every budget. Some really cute options in there!
